In most instances, the Bayside Community Legal Service provides advice, information, referrals and mediation services only.

There is no charge for the services but clients are asked to consider a donation towards the ongoing costs for providing a free service.

Advice and assistance is provided by an employed Solicitor and/or volunteer Solicitors and Barristers and it is up to each Solicitor or Barrister what level of advice or assistance they are comfortable to provide.  Clients are able to make further appointments for advice and assistance.

Capacity for assistance other than advice and referral is very limited and is at the discretion of the Solicitor or Barrister.

The Bayside Community Legal Service respects clients’ rights to privacy and confidentiality.  We will not give out your personal information unless we have your consent to do so or are required by law.

As part of our funding agreement we are required to provide to funding bodies statistical information about our services.  Clients’ personal information and details of individual legal matters will not be provided to funding bodies but are necessary for our internal records.
